The great internet blah out
Apra and the record companies have burnt any sympathy I have for the commercial recording artist with their support for section 92a. That is all I have to say, really. Don't buy another CD, DVD or TV show after the 28th of February.
ARPA is so unbelievably arrogant that they want you to purchase a license to cover "the reproduction and communication of music clips of up to 30 seconds, for the purpose of previewing music that is offered for sale as a physical product.". AU$189.20 to promote the sale of our music, thanks.
How about dubbing music on your wedding video? AU$51.15 for 5 copies, plus AU$6 for every copy after that.
I propose a counter license of AU$51.15 for the first 5 guests plus AU$6 for each guest after that for the promotion of happy emotional associations and other goodwill towards the artists played at celebrations and festive occasions, and used in conjunction with mementoes associated with said events.

Shhh
I have been a bit quiet, due to extreme business.
Probably my most up to date journal is my Flickr.
