Dr Who

Everybody has been going 'Nic, have you heard they are making a new Dr Who series?'. So what. I'm sure it will be as thrilling as the Avengers movie was.

Sci-Fi thrives on imagination, which is unavailable as a Maya plugin. Seeing as modern cinematic Sci-Fi is all composited, why is it all so lame, or else wholly derived from anime. Or both. Given a blank canvas and the ability to render anything on screen in a photorealistic manner, would you churn out another christ-mythos or futuristic prison film? Dont get me started on my pet Mononoke/LOTR theory. (Not that i am accusing Jackson of ripping off Miyazaki. I am just saying that it would have been a lot easier to realise the LOTR project having first viewed Mononoke 20 times. Go, rent it, see.)

Which brings us to this flash animated Dr Who episode starring Richard E. Grant. Worth a viewing. No kidding, it opens on the slopes of Ruapehu....

Now if you came up to me and said 'Paul Darrow is the new Who!'....
